OHM PART 2.0 #IWOULDPREFERNOTTO
It is with pleasure that we invite you to a performance by Trine Mee Sook Gleerup that marks the end of a 2-month long course of morning yoga for the commercialized body.
Instead of liberating ourselves from stress and not least the reasons why we are stressed to begin with Mindfulness has become a validation of – and a way to live with – stress.
OHM part 2.0
#iwouldprefernotto
—sequel to “OHM: a meditative performance lecture & how our mind and body are practically commercialized”
Trine Mee Sook continues investigating the popularity or even, as it appears to be, the regime of Mindfulness within a Western context. And merges stress research, mindfulness courses and online yoga with robots, yoga teaching, and the latest # in SoMe.
‘I would prefer not to’ is an exhibition in which we try to take back time from an economic understanding of the phenomenon. As an organism it has transformed and grown since its start in August. Throughout the exhibition period we will ask what can emerge from preferring not to and doing nothing, from boredom and laziness, from the meaningless and non-functional.
